Existentialism
Existentialism is the view that people are completely free and responsible for their own behavior. The person that I used and asked questions was Jeff Heiskell. I chose him because he is one of my best friends and I know what kind of person he is. He is the kind of person that speaks his mind under all circumstances.
First I observed the way that he acted. Through being with him a lot I have come to realize that his thought on life is that if you don’t take advantage of what you have then there is no purpose of living. He has made some bad choices in his life but in the end they have had a positive impact on his life. Jeff works very harder on things that interest him than on ones that do not.
I asked him what motivation he has on to get him up in the morning and while he couldn’t specify a specific reason he was able to say that he was interested in what was going to happen that particular day. I also asked him how he felt about school and he responded by saying that sometimes it is a pain but other times it is quite interesting. Finally I asked him if he had any support given to him to make him try hard in school and he that it is mainly for his parents and for all that they have done and that he wants to make them proud of him.
Through observing Jeff I have come to the conclusion that he is a well-rounded individual that has a high thought on life and is willing to succeed at all cost.
